I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and graduated from Linn Mar High School in 2013. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in Global Resource Systems with a Biology Minor. I have worked at Miller Family Eyecare since it opened in 2011 and growing up around the optometric profession inspired me to attend optometry school following undergrad. I earned my optometric degree from Illinois College of Optometry, graduating summa cum laude in 2021. Additionally, I completed the Ocular Disease and Primary Care Residency at Illinois College of Optometry in 2022 where I rotated in the Primary Eye Clinic, Urgent Care, Pediatrics and Specialty Contact Lens departments.
I love treating acute and chronic ocular disease and integrating a patient’s systemic and ocular health. I am proud that Miller Family Eyecare provides top-notch medical eye care as well as fabulous eyewear. I believe every patient should receive the best care and be treated with kindness and respect.
My favorite ice cream is Heyn’s Cappuccino with Jeni’s Brown Butter Almond Brittle coming in as a close second. In my free time, you can find me reading, exercising, traveling, at an Iowa Basketball game with my husband, Jackson, or perusing unrealistic real estate across the country on Zillow.
