I grew up in Waverly, Iowa. I attended Wartburg College where I earned my B.A. in biology. After Wartburg, I worked for an optometrist in Tampa, Florida for two years and then decided to go back to graduate school. I attended the Illinois College of Optometry where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following graduate school, I completed a year-long Ocular Disease Residency at a Veterans Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.
I love that my job allows me to help people see. Whether it is simply with glasses and contacts or managing ocular disease, I enjoy helping patients. I am fortunate to work with knowledgeable, like-minded optometrists at Miller Family EyeCare who all share the same passion towards helping our patients.
In my free time I enjoy running, biking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family. If I had to pick my favorite ice cream, I would splurge and go with Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked.
